“Only what you take with you”

As from StarWars.com:
Artist Russell Walks, who’s been a favorite of Star Wars illustration aficionados for well over a decade, has created the sixth entry in The Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary Artwork Collection — “Only What You Take With You” — available now exclusively from StarWarsShop.
Limited to just 100 pieces, this artwork giclée marks the halfway point for the 12-part Empire Anniversary artwork series, which has been gaining momentum since its launch in March.
Walks, who recently registered double-hits on Celebration artwork collectors’ radar with his iconic Boba Fett poster art and Celebration gallery illustration, serves up a mythic, powerful vision with “Only What You Take With You”, capturing the tone of one of the saga’s most resonant scenes.

Hamill & Harrison talk Prequels
Thanks to TheWrap.com for finding this great video where Jane Pauley interviews Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford on “The Today Show”. This was back when “The Empire Strikes Back” was about to open in 1980. I think it’s so cool to see that even back then George Lucas was planning on making the Prequel films!

Adidas: Second SW Collection

I didn’t expect more Star Wars merch from Adidas so this was quite a surprise! Some of these new designs are very creative! I haven’t seen anyone where anything from the last collection, what about you? I think some of them are definitely wearable and can be paired with many different things. I have to admit though, some of them are a bit wild.
Here is one of my favorites, the Chewbacca shoes…

CW: Season 3

So, in case you haven’t heard….
Do you guys even realize how close that is? I have to say, I’m very sad that both LOST and 24 won’t be coming back, but I’m glad to have something like this to look forward to watch!
StarWars.com digs deaper into the Season, which I have not read due to spoilers, but I’m sure there’s a lot of great stuff on there.
Cutest Droids Ever

Last weekend at Celebration V, Brenda of humblebumleb showed up in style with her little girls all decked out as R2D2 and C3PO.
Craftzine.com explains how Brenda made the dresses:
The base of the dresses is sewn using New Look pattern # 6878. It’s a quick and easy pattern that I make for my girls for every holiday and event. The dresses were then embellished with puff paint. That’s right, the same thing we all used when we were 10 years old to paint on everything, it is one of my favorite craft supplies. A little felt here and there for R2’s panel, and finished the outfits off with little bow head bands from the left over fabric.
R2D2 Gets Married at CV

Celebration V sure offered unique experiences. From speed dating to live tattooing to commitment ceremonies, CV had it all!
One of the more entertaining events that happened at Celebration V was the wedding of R2D2 to StarWars.com editor, Bonnie Burton.
Bonnie posted about dating and marrying R2:
Sometimes a girl just has to follow her heart no matter where it may lead…
R2-D2 puts all you human boys to shame. He’s got a built-in GPS (so says Uncle George) so he never gets lost. Plus you should see Artoo’s dance moves! And yes, he’s got more gadgets and charm than James Bond himself.
I’ve always had a secret crush on Artoo ever since I first saw him in A New Hope. Granted, I was just a kid then. What did I know about astromech love? But I kept a special place in my heart for him, fully knowing I may never meet him face to dome. It wasn’t until many years later when I landed a job as Lucasfilm that I took my chance and made the first move…

Anakin & Padme Song
Our own LazyPadawan found an amazing song dedicated to Anakin & Padme by Randy Martinez. He played it at Germany’s JediCon (I have to admit, I didn’t know this event existed there!). I really love the song! Be sure to tell us what you think!

New Star Tours Video
And yet another video that was shown at Celebration V! This commercial will be played in the Star Tours’ queue for the revamped ride. I don’t know if Bespin, Endor, and Alderaan are the only new planets we will visit but I sure hope not! I am really hoping to see some other planets from the Prequel Trilogy! Thoughts?
