LLH opened on March 20th 2002
Immediately after I had seen FOTR in Theatres I wanted to make a LOTR website. I thought of the name 'Living Like Heroes' almost instantly. The name came from thinking of the Members of the Fellowship of the Ring and how they all committed their selves to bringing the Ring to Mordor. Of course there are more Heroes other than the people in the Fellowship like Arwen, Eomer, etc. They are Heroes too and deserve our appreciation just as much as the Fellowship.
In October 2003, Maegquareiel (a close online friend who is more commenly known as 'Jolene') decided to join me. Together we brought you the latest News. Maegquareiel has her own Lair here as well. You'll find that under "Fans".
February of 2004, MeganGreenleaf (another close online friend) joined Maeg and myself in posting LOTR News!
And in March of 2004, Kathleen who has been a frequent visitor of the site decided to join us in posting News as well.

Version 3.0 - Elves
I just love the Elves so I decided to use Legolas and Arwen for the theme. These Graphics were very elegant and soft.
I used "Adob"e & "Picture It" for this layout.
When LLH came off of Hiatus after a few months, this is
what everyone saw, so it was quite exciting. Take a look:
Well you know Legolas & Aragorn are my favorite characters and I decided to do the theme of this layout on them. These Graphics were more masculine and were much more simple. I used "Adobe" and "Piture It" for this layout. This Version was for one special occasion - our 1st Birthday! The TagBoard colors don't match the layout because when I took the picture I was already getting the site and Tag-Board ready for the new layout. But rest assured that it did match before the changing took place =) Just look:
With this one I went completely different! The layout was much bigger than usual, filling the entire screen. The Graphics were completely glamorous representing a Love theme featuring Aragorn and Arwen. "Adob"e and "Picture It" were used, like always. This was a favorite of the viewers as well as mine. During this Version LLH was hosted by Distant-Mordor.net. This is a layout to remember:
This one was probably the first 'Green' layout I ever did counting all my websites. I liked this one a lot since it featured Aragorn from ROTK, I thought the graphic turned out really great. The layout was once again big and easy to navigate. Many of the viewers liked this version since it had been so long since we had a new layout. The same programs were used as usual to do this version:
You'll notice that the layout is pretty much almost the same as the one above except for a few changes and a new theme: Haldir! I wanted the graphics to focus on one great character that I have never used before and so Haldir was the guy. I basically kept the layout the same not only because I was really busy during that time, but because it just worked well. People were really excited to see Haldir as the theme just because he doesn't get much credit. Everything was mostly done in Adobe 7.0 and that graphic took forever, but it was worth it:
