Why? -Every hero is balanced by their enemy. Barbossa was an adversary of equal dimension of Jack Sparrow. Clever, shrewd and sarcastically witty. Equally driven by his desire to return to mortality as Jack was driven to regain control of the Black Pearl. The hunger in Barbossa's expression while encouraging Elizabeth to eat... his tragedy passionately exposed to Elizabeth on the deck of the Black Pearl...watch his eyes when addressing the crew at Isla de Muerta... the slight sarcastic chuckle when telling Will... "It was you who failed to specify when or where" to the final spoken words - "I feel.... cold". I truly felt empathy for this character when struggling for so long for mortality; the only thing he managed to feel at the end was his own death... and the apple rolled out of his lifeless hand.

Fav. Scene -I personally love the whole movie. The whole thing was so well put together and casted well. But one of my favorite scenes would have to be the island scene where Jack and Elizabeth are stranded together and the deleted island scenes. The deleted island scenes were so so so so great, it really helped us get to know Jack a bit more, and it sorta laid down a "friendship" bond between Elizabeth and cap'n' Jack. I really wish they hadn't deleted those.*sigh*
Why? -I think I love those particular scenes because, I kinda wanted Jack and Elizabeth to get together in the beginning, and because it really brings out "truth" in Jack. and Elizabeth seems to understand him more...I just do not understand why they cut those scenes. I mean they were really valuable and great scenes!!! I loved those scenes cuz of the info. and truth and understanding between jack and elizabeth!
