This movie was amazing and fun. I enjoyed so much. I thought the beginning was a bit slow, but it wasn't too bad. There were some scenes, especially conversations that I thought weren't needed, but I couldn't let that ruin the film, because it was just too good. There was an extremely dumb scene I am so glad they left in though...The Elevator Scene! Yes! Oh man, that was so hilarious, I was laughing so hard. They should totally make a fanlisting for that! I'd join right quick.
Anyhow, since I've seen the Sequel I still do not know which one I liked better. I liked both of them for different reasons, but I think I might have liked the second one a little more. It seemed longer to me than the first one, and it was more action packed and exciting. The first one was more of an introduction, which I liked, and there were some great scenes in there as well. Now people have said you don't need to see the first in order to see the Sequel, I personally disagree. If I had just went to see the Sequel without seeing the first, I would've had a ton of questions. I wouldn't have known what had happened between Peter and MJ, who Harry was, the story of the Goblin, etc. It just wouldn't have made much sense. I see these films as being one big movie, by the time the third one comes out, we'll have one huge and wicked awesome film.
I didn't expect Harry to have a bigger part in this one, I don't know why. But I am glad he did, he's an interesting character. I was totally freaked out at what he might have done to Peter once he found out he was Spiderman. That was a really cool scene when he found out, I liked how they did that, but the reaction from Harry wasn't as powerful as I was expecting.
Doc. Ock was fantastic! Those arms and the sounds they made reminded me of the movie Aliens for some reason. I could tell from the beginning that he was going to make stupid decisions, but at least things turned out alright at the end, although his death surprised me a lot. His theme music was brilliant btw!
Ok, MJ...what is up with her? She knew she loved Peter, and yet she went and decided she would marry what's his name..Mr. Astronaut. That was crazy. I couldn't believe that happened, and she let it go on too long. I mean, everyone was at the wedding, all those plans and everything that was set up was all a waist. Thank goodness she finally woke up at the end to go to him. Now I 'm not too fond of like Kirsten Dunst, but when she was running in her wedding gown with the sunlight shining on her, I gasped. She looked so happy and beautiful. When she finally arrived at Peter's doorway I was so relieved! LOL That was a really great scene, finally they kissed! Am I right?
Now, I'm saving the best for last, can you guess who that is? Yes! Peter/Spiderman!! Wow, what a great character. I mean, he is just way friggin cool, the way he flys through the city is just amazing, I dig it. He kicks. Ok, I'll stop. I have to say at the beginning of the film, I just felt so bad for him. He was so lost, so confused, and even worse, he was losing his girl. Ohhh man, I just wanted to hug him, ha ha ha. Peter was just such a cool and sweet guy, his face is just..I don't even know..so loveable. No, I don't think he's hott, it's just..I don't know. There's just something about him. Anyways, yeah..I felt bad, even though I knew he would get everything straightened out. It was interesting how he was losing his eye sight again and not able to shoot webs (is that right? lol). I liked how they did that, it showed that, well..I guess that basically he didn't know who he was, and that he had to make a choice. He was destined to be Spiderman.
I think that's it. I just can't wait for the third one! I wonder what's going to happen? I especially wonder if Harry will end up taking his father's place. It didn't seem like he would at first because of what he did. He was furious when he threw the knife through the mirror. But, then when he discovered the room and everything..I don't know, it seemed suspicious. We will see my friends...in 2007, if that ever comes.
